Puppy Chow

Rice Chex covered  with chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. The ultimate snack mix!

Puppy ChowNo I am not making dog food. Puppy chow, also known as Muddy Buddies, is for humans only as chocolate is fatal to our four legged friends.

It has peanut butter in it, so he thinks he wants it but trust me buddy you don’t!Lambeau

When I have a baggy of puppy chow for lunch or a snack, people always ask me what it is; when I say it’s puppy chow, they say “You’re eating what?” Once they taste a piece (after I’ve explained that I’m not eating dog food of course), they want the recipe….mostly because I’m no good at sharing my puppy chow!

This snack mix has everything…the peanut butter/chocolate combination melts in your mouth with the sugary coating and it has that nice crunch from the cereal. Just watch out because if you stand by the bowl for too long, it will disappear without you even realizing it!

The great news about this recipe is that the ingredients are probably in your pantry, it has peanut butter and chocolate in it (I could have sold you on the recipe with just that, right?), and it is a crowd pleaser without you having to stand in the kitchen for hours. Puppy ChowPuppy Chow

Just make sure that when you are coating the cereal in powdered sugar, you shake the bag long enough to have most of the sugar absorb into the chocolate and peanut butter.
